Recycling


Homesbury is committed to recycling:

  • All our waste paper is converted to briquettes and used to heat two staff members home to save on wood and fossil fuel.
  • Our used inkjet/laser cartridges are all sent back to be recycled. The typical used toner cartridge weighs about three pounds and is composed of 40 percent plastic, 40 percent metal and smaller percentages of rubber, paper, foam and toner. The plastic is made of engineering-grade polymers and takes at least 1,000 years to decompose. However, approximately 97 percent of these combined components can be recycled or reused.
  • Our smart cars have recyclable parts, are fuel efficient, and produce the lowest CO2 emissions in their class. The result is that up to 95% of the Smart Car is suitable for recycling.
  • Our suppliers have been chosen for their commitment to recycling.
  • We contribute to various "00BB00" initiatives.
